1st Annual FZN River City Showcase

We are excited to present the 1st Annual

“FZN River City Showcase”

This event promises to be one of the true highlights of the marching season.  Bands will be classified by MSHSAA football classifications.  During the prelim round bands will be mixed, with the performance order determined by date of entry.  The top 8-12 bands (dependent on total number of bands) will advance to finals competition. Bands will compete for caption awards (Outstanding Music, Visual, General Effect) and placement awards. Featuring an All-Star adjudication team from the rosters of Bands of America, Drum Corps International and Winter Guard International, this festival will also hold a judges critique at the end of the competition for interested band directors.  All judges will be from outside the state of Missouri.

The Ft. Zumwalt North High School football stadium features field turf and a large set of home bleachers that sits very close to the field since there is no track.  It is an ideal setting for an outstanding day of marching band performances.

TJs Pizza FUNDRAISER

TJ’s PIZZZA – we are having a quick fundraiser for TJ’s Pizza  - you make 40% profit on everything sold and the profit goes directly into your student’s account not the general fund.  If you want to participate have your child obtain an order form from Mr Babel.  Money should be collected at time of order, checks made out to FZN Band Boosters, Turn in date Friday January 20th, Delivery on Tuesday Jan 31 at school.

You can now order SCRIP cards online via www.shopwithscrip.com!!

Here are the steps:

1) Create and register your family account using the unique enrollment code (441945363566) assigned to Ft. Zumwalt North HS Band – O’Fallon, MO; don’t forget to enter your student’s name so your ‘contribution’ (payback) is allocated appropriately into your student’s band account.

2) Our SCRIP Coordinator (Kris Engle) will approve the notification that your account has been created and you are now ready to make an order online

3) If you would like to pay online via your bank account you will setup PrestoPay – this is an optional payment method, however will speed up the order process for you

a. Enter your bank information

b. Wait for verification email from ShopWithScrip and two small deposits they will make into your bank account

c. Upon receipt of deposits, log into ShopWithScrip account to verify PrestoPay setup by entering the two deposit amounts made to your account

d. You will then receive a verification email with a PrestoPay code that you will need to forward to Kris and enter when you make your next online order

4) Order your SCRIP cards

a. Kris will get a notification email that your order has been submitted. She will also see whether or not payment via PrestoPay has been made. If payment was not made via PrestoPay, Kris will not complete your order until she has payment from you. If payment was made via PrestoPay, Kris will submit your order along with any others she has at this time.

5) Pick your physical cards up from Kris – they do not get sent directly to you

TRIVIA NIGHT!!

Have you reserved your table(s) for Trivia Night??  The event is only two weeks away and we need your reservations!

Celebration of Lights

We need 4 more adults for December 8th and one more adult for December 14th.  We must have six adults at the Ft. Zumwalt Maintenance shed, ready to work, no later than 5:30PM.  Financial penalties will apply for any time that we do not have six adults present. Workers are to arrive through the back gate and park their vehicles on the road that runs in front of the Shelter house.  This is the dead end road that leads to the dumpster.  All vehicles must be parked so they are not visible to Celebration of Lights traffic.  Plan on being there until 9:30PM or until the last car of the night is through.

If you can work, please contact Veronica Schrand as soon as possible.

Fox 2 News at FZN for Pep Rally – Tomorrow at 6:30 AM

Wanted to let everyone know (in case your student didn’t tell you) that FOX 2 will be at the Fort tomorrow morning doing a live broadcast. Yes LIVE!!!!

They travel to local schools and are coming to FZN tomorrow.  There are several students from band who will be participating in a relay race and various other activities.
Our Drum Majors and Section Leaders will be presenting our trophies and highlight the bands success this year.
Everyone is welcome – students should arrive around 6:30 and the first live broadcast will take place around 6:50 or so.
Come show your support!!!!

Greater St. Louis Festival, 10/22

TICKETS:
As previously discussed at our boosters meeting – we have an opportunity to purchase RESERVED Seats at the Dome for the GSL competition on October 22.  You must have a ticket to attend and we typically sell them in advance.
We will be given a set number of general admission tickets and they are priced as follows:
General admission – $17  – Seniors $15  -  Children (3-12)  $10
Reserved seats are $22 each, the advantage of these is you are given a specific seat that you can occupy.   Although I do not know the exact location the reserved seats are typically at the 50 yard line and give you a great view of the entire show.
Reserved seats have to be turned in by Thursday night so PLEASE contact Angie Simerda via email fznbbpres@gmail.com or call 314-570-3476 if you would like to purchase these seats for $22.

EAT WINGS – RAISE FUNDS

BWWFt. Zumwalt North Panther Pride Marching Band’s night at Buffalo Wild Wings!

Join us on Wednesday, November 2nd from 5:00 – 8:00PM at Buffalo Wild Wings on Mid Rivers Mall Drive for dinner.  Present the attached ticket (BWW_FZNMarchingBand_11-2-11) and BWW will dontae 10% of all pre-taxed food sales (less alcohol and promotional discounts)

Just a reminder, flyers can NOT be distributed on BWW property on or before the day of the event. Groups found doing so will forfeit the funds raised by the event.

From BWW:  “We agree to donate 10% of all pre-tax food sales (less alcohol and promotional discounts) from any guest that presents this fundraising ticket. Additionally, as an added incentive, if your event’s sales reach $1,000, we will increase your donation to 15% for the event! We feel strongly about helping our communities and are glad to do what we can to help make this a success for both parties! Feel free to take photos at your event and send them to us afterwards – we’d LOVE to post them on our local facebook page to help promote your group!”

Food Donations

I would like to say “Thank YOU” to everyone for their help at the Farmington Festival, Homecoming and also for all of the food that has been provided so far.

Here we are at the beginning of the marching season.  The next several week-ends are going to extremely busy for the kids.  They are going to be practicing and performing for long hours so we are in need of alot of snacks for the kids.  It would be greatly appreciated if everyone would donate 2 boxes of some sort of individually wrapped snacks.(NutriGrain bars, granola bars, cheese crackers, cookies, etc…)  You may drop them off Saturday morning.

If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.  I will be contacting families in the next few days for food donations for the Blue Springs Festival.  Your generosity is very much appreciated !!
