Drumline
The Fort Zumwalt North Drumline has long been considered one of the best marching drumlines in the state of Missouri. They have won numerous awards on the local and national level and have been asked to perform at several functions in the Missouri and Illinois area. Not content on playing the standard high school drumline parts, they have earned a reputation of pushing the limits of what is possible for a a drumline of this age group. They have been asked to clinic several university drumlines and were asked to work with Scott Johnson (Blue Devils percussion caption head) during his St. Louis clinic in 2010.
WINTER DRUMLINE
Modulation Z is a winter drumline group consisting of students from Fort Zumwalt North, South and East high schools. It is the first and only combined competitive performance group in the district. Started in 2010, Modulation Z was created for those students who did not have a winter program at their “home” schools as a means for them to participate in this fun and exciting experience. It was originally conceived to be a one time thing or something that would occur every so often. But, due to the overwhelming positive results and feedback from both students and parents, it was apparent that “Mod Z” should take place every year.
